BLUE UNDERGROUND FIXES TRANSFERS FOR
“The Stendhal Syndrome” is a marked improvement. While I only noticed the issues during the last hour, the resolution changes are night and day. This might not comfort those still waiting for replacement discs, but the changeover is well worth the effort. Plus, it’s young Asia Argento. What’s not to love?
“Amsterdamned” is where I ran into a bit of a skirmish with some Blu-ray.com readers. I had never seen the film before, so I assumed the visual aesthetic was intentional. This lead a few on that forum to accuse me of being a shill. What’s funny is they don’t know the number of outlets that have banned me for not being a shill. See, kids! I beat the LA Times to the punch yet again.
No matter how it goes, the transfers are immensely approved without causing any derision to the parts of the discs that were working great in the first place. If you’ve been impacted, make sure to replace your discs. Hell, I’m hearing that Arrow is also getting around to fixing their The Big Knife clipped scene debacle. What a wonderful time to be an Underground cinema consumer.
