“Vampire Legend” looks at how medieval burials inform the vampire legend. In fact, the legend in England predates the popular myth from Eastern Europe. There is plenty of psychology in the matter, as religion and fear of the different informed a lot of these burials. Basically, it all boils down to sociology of the era.
