A Story of Struggle and Survival
Set in post-WWI Copenhagen, The Girl with the Needle follows Karoline (Vic Carmen Sonne), a young factory worker facing hardship after losing her job and discovering she is pregnant. Abandoned and without support, Karoline encounters Dagmar (Trine Dyrholm), a charismatic woman who runs an underground adoption agency. Dagmar helps mothers find foster homes for their unwanted children, and with nowhere else to turn, Karoline becomes a wet-nurse.
