RLJE Films has officially announced the acquisition of “ARCADIAN,” a survival thriller that has already garnered significant anticipation ahead of its world premiere at SXSW. Boasting a star-studded cast including Nicolas Cage, Jaeden Martell, Maxwell Jenkins, and Sadie Soverall, “ARCADIAN” promises to deliver an intense cinematic experience. The film, penned by Michael Nilon and directed by Ben Brewer, who previously worked as the lead visual effects artist for “EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE,” is set to captivate audiences with its near-future narrative.
Set in a dystopian future where Earth’s normalcy has been upended, “ARCADIAN” follows Paul and his two sons, Thomas and Joseph, as they navigate a life of tranquility by day and terror by night. The family’s existence is challenged every evening by the attacks of a mysterious force. The plot thickens when Thomas fails to return home before dark, prompting Paul to venture beyond their fortified farm in a desperate search. What unfolds is a nightmarish confrontation that tests the family’s survival instincts to the limit.
