ITS NAME WAS MORMO initially began as a documentary about a young family settling into their new home. However, the narrative transformed when the filmmakers discovered a dilapidated village, leading to an impromptu production. As the unscripted story unfolded, the crew encountered unusual occurrences that would profoundly influence the film’s direction.
As the young family’s life spirals into chaos, a sinister presence begins to target each member in its own malevolent way. Through the lens of police evidence, Mark, Diana, and their daughter Mia endure the torment of a demon steeped in Greek mythology.
Turbulence during production peaked when Greek symbolism began to infiltrate their home life. Marcela felt an unsettling gaze upon her, leading her to keep the curtains drawn day and night. Mark experienced eerie sensations of a presence beside him, while their puppy, Romeo, would bark at dark corners and whine as if sensing something amiss.
