Paramount+ is thrilled to announce the premiere of its latest original film, “LITTLE WING,” set to captivate audiences on Wednesday, March 13, exclusively in the U.S. and Canada, with the UK and Australia following the next day. This announcement comes alongside the release of first-look images, giving eager viewers a glimpse into the heartwarming coming-of-age narrative inspired by Susan Orlean’s fascinating article in ‘The New Yorker’ on the world of pigeon racing.
“LITTLE WING” centers around Kaitlyn, a teenager grappling with her parents’ divorce and the looming threat of losing her home. In a daring attempt to alleviate her mother’s financial distress, Kaitlyn and her best friend embark on a quest to steal a valuable bird. However, the adventure takes an unexpected turn when Kaitlyn forms a unique connection with the bird’s owner, sparking a journey of self-discovery and a fresh perspective on life.
The film boasts an impressive cast, including Emmy® Award winner Brian Cox, known for his role in “Succession,” as Jaan, a pigeon racer; SAG Award nominee Kelly Reilly from “Yellowstone” as Maddie, Kaitlyn’s mother; Critics Choice Movie Award winner Brooklynn Prince as Kaitlyn; and Che Tafari of “Me Time” as Adam, Kaitlyn’s supportive classmate and friend.
Behind the scenes, “LITTLE WING” is a product of Awesomeness, crafted by the creative minds of Academy Award® nominee John Gatins, who penned the script, and Emmy nominee Dean Israelite, who not only directed but also executive produced the film. The project is further supported by producers John Gatins and Naomi Despres and executive producers Karen Rosenfelt, Donald De Line, Susan Orlean, Brian Cox, Don Dunn, and Liz Brandenburg.
“LITTLE WING” promises to be a touching exploration of adolescence, friendship, and the unexpected paths that lead us to who we are meant to be.
Mark your calendars for this poignant Paramount+ original, as it promises to be a cinematic journey that resonates with viewers of all ages.
