The beloved comedy classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail returns to theaters nationwide for two nights only—Sunday, May 4, and Wednesday, May 7, 2025—celebrating the film’s 50th anniversary, presented by Shout! Studios and Fathom Entertainment.

Originally released in 1975, Monty Python’s irreverent take on the Arthurian legend broke box-office records, becoming the highest-grossing British film in the U.S. at the time. Featuring Graham Chapman as King Arthur, along with his loyal squire (Terry Gilliam) and an absurdly brave band of knights (John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin), the film follows their quest for the legendary Holy Grail, complete with killer rabbits, taunting Frenchmen, and knights who say “Ni!”
Directed by Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, Monty Python and the Holy Grail remains a cultural landmark, celebrated for its unique blend of satire, silliness, and wit.
