Me Myself & The Void comes to Digital VOD on October 1st

Echobend Pictures is thrilled to announce the worldwide VOD release of Me Myself & The Void, a darkly comedic exploration of the human mind. This original feature will debut on Digital VOD on October 1, 2024, and will be available on platforms such as Apple TV and Prime Video.

Directed by Timothy Hautekiet, Me Myself & The Void is a unique blend of black comedy and psychological drama. Hautekiet co-wrote the script with Nik Oldershaw, and the film stars Jack De Sena (Avatar: The Last Airbender, All That) as a struggling comedian at a personal crossroads, trapped outside the boundaries of space and time. Caught in a surreal confrontation with himself, De Sena’s character must grapple with his life’s choices and the people within it, including characters played by Chris W. Smith (De Sena’s longtime comedy partner) and Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Raya and the Last Dragon).

The supporting cast includes Akilah Hughes, James Babson, Sophia Esperanza, Kristen Carey, Darren Dupree Washington, and Danielle Dallas Roosa. Produced by Ryan Blewett, Zubin Asaria, and Ryan Turner for Echobend, with Asaria also serving as executive producer, the film offers a compelling blend of humor and introspection.

Me Myself & The Void world premiered at Dances with Films and was well-received on the festival circuit, screening internationally and earning accolades at FilmQuest, including the Best Ensemble Cast award. The film also garnered nominations for Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Editing, and Best Score.

Speaking about the film’s upcoming release, director/co-writer Hautekiet shared, “Above all else, I hope the film offers an engaging mystery with plenty of laughs. I wanted to frame a whodunnit around a relationship and have our hero searching through his own memories to uncover what happened. The film emphasizes mental health and sparks conversations about modern relationships, ambition, and isolation. This is the film I needed five years ago before I began to take my mental health seriously.”

Don’t miss Me Myself & The Void, an innovative and introspective comedy, available on VOD starting October 1, 2024.
