MARRIAGE MATERIAL REVIEWED
“Marriage Material” is a rather tepid romantic comedy. Should a young girl marry for money or love? Victoria Jackson actually does solid work as the pushy mother. However, the younger women in the cast seem to be reading lines like they’re doing a school production. Calling the film stilted is a misnomer. We have two or three elements that work well and a ton of other things to hamstring the production. If you’re a fan of Victoria Jackson, I’d recommend pick it up. Otherwise, skip it.
