“Making North America” is a three hour look into what it took to make the North American continent. Kirk Johnson is quite interesting and takes us through a Tyson style approach to paleontology. The CG animation really pops, as we sweep through lush environments. Still, it’s going to put a wide swath of readers to sleep. The DVD comes with no special features.
