IFC Films Acquires North American Rights to “Skincare” Starring Elizabeth Banks

IFC Films has exciting news for thriller enthusiasts! The studio has acquired the North American rights to the vanity crime thriller Skincare, starring Elizabeth Banks. The film also features an all-star ensemble cast, including Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick), Luis Gerardo Méndez (Charlie’s Angels), Nathan Fillion (The Rookie, The Suicide Squad), and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (Pose). Skincare marks the first narrative feature film from director Austin Peters, who co-wrote the script with Deering Regan and Sam Freilich. The movie is set to hit theaters on August 16, 2024.

A Riveting Noir Thriller

Inspired by true events, Skincare follows renowned aesthetician Hope Goldman (Elizabeth Banks) as she prepares to launch her own skincare line. Her plans are disrupted when rival facialist Angel Vergara (Luis Gerardo Méndez) opens a new boutique directly across from her studio. Suspecting sabotage, Hope and her friend Jordan (Lewis Pullman) embark on a mission to uncover who is trying to ruin her business and reputation.
