“How To Be The Life of The Party” is nothing more than a collection of challenges and riddles. Honestly, the disc comes across as Mad Libs for drunken adults. So much of what’s going feels like an advertisement for a site that I didn’t visit. I saw the web address get flashed a lot, but I don’t do what flashing images tell me. I am my own man.
As I finished the disc, I’d wonder what I had seen. Will it sell well with younger people who have no social connections? Sure. But, if you follow this disc’s advice as a person of a certain age…you’re going to look like an alien. It’s weird to see a helpful tool created in a vacuum. Good intentions without definition produce oddities.
The DVD comes with bloopers as the special feature. The A/V Quality is strong with a supportive transfer and a Dolby audio track. The Dolby track doesn’t get much back channel action outside of the few party scenes. In the end, I’d recommend a rental.
