Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group, has secured North American theatrical, VOD, and DVD rights to the dramatic comedy “All Happy Families.” After premiering at the 59th Chicago International Film Festival and the Mill Valley Film Festival last October, and recently showcasing at the 27th Annual Dances With Films: L.A., the film is set for a limited theatrical and VOD release in fall 2024.
About All Happy Families
“All Happy Families” follows the story of the Landrys, an unconventional midwestern family. The charming dramedy stars Josh Radnor as Graham, an actor and writer struggling to catch his big break, overshadowed by his successful brother Will (Rob Huebel), who stars in his own TV series. The narrative unfolds over a weekend when the siblings and their parents reunite under one roof as a new tenant, Dana (Chandra Russell), prepares to move into their childhood home. Tensions rise as long-held resentments and secrets come to light, leading to a series of unexpected and poignant moments.
The film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Becky Ann Baker as the matriarch Sue, John Ashton as the father Roy, and supporting performances by Colleen Camp, David Pasquesi, Rodney Crowell, and Ivy O’Brien.
