“The Drop Box” is about one South Korean pastor’s efforts to rescue abandoned infants. The man builds a heated hatch to offer a safe haven for abandoned children rather than allowing them to be exposed to the elements. So many of the abandoned children are disabled or not meeting certain standards that it puts a bit of a strain on the efforts. But, Pastor Lee Jong-rak pushes on in the face of adversity.
Focus on the Family helped get this documentary made, so don’t hold that against it. The religious leanings are strong, but it’s still an amazing effort. The DVD comes with a musical performance, panel discussion and a featurette as the special features. The A/V Quality is on par with most standard definition documentaries. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to the curious.
