“Dick Cavett’s Vietnam” is an hour long look at how Dick Cavett brought Vietnam into American living rooms. Following up on a recent string of documentaries about Cavett, the documentary can be self-serving at times. Still, it is interesting to study media through a historical perspective. What Cavett was doing on his late night talk show was amazing, as he opened up the spectrum to include discussion on matters that people didn’t want to address. Did he fuel the unrest or merely comment on it? That’s up to you to decide. The DVD comes with no special features.
