Broad City returns with a far better second year.
“Broad City” started winning me over in Season 2. I just can’t help but like Abby over Ilana. That didn’t stop me from enjoying the moments with Ilana and her mom, but I still can’t stand the Ilana centric episodes. The MVP of the series has to be the episode where Abby has to repay Trey. But, most of it feels like weaker Curb Your Enthusiasm at times.
That being said, you’re only getting about 3 hours and 40 minutes of material. The seasons are short, so it’s not that hard to binge. The DVD comes with outtakes, deleted scenes, pop-up enhanced episode, web series, videos and The Nicole Memos as the special features. The Dolby 5.1 track helps the show’s stellar soundtrack blast through all channels. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase.
