This is the story of the first African American woman to win Wimbledon.
“Althea” is a standard documentary about a sports star turned Civil Rights activist. If you’ve never heard of Althea, the film will be quite refreshing. Outside of that, it’s a well crafted Wiki article turned documentary film. That’s not bad, as younger people need to know that these important figures exist. It’s just I wanted to hear something new. The DVD comes with no special features.
