“All This Mayhem” is a rather depressing documentary about two skaters that should’ve been bigger in the 1990s. Brothers Tas and Ben Pappas were fierce competitors who learned their craft in Melbourne and would later go on to storm the world. Unfortunately, they turned on each other and let outside American pro skater influences set them apart. Though stock footage and interviews, we see highlights of the powerhouse team that could’ve been. It’s frustrating to say the least.
I love documentaries like this, but I feel that it needs a follow-up. Hell, where is the ESPN Films documentary for these guys? I need a better history rather than all of these emotions! The Blu-Ray comes with 15 deleted scenes and featurettes as the special features. The A/V Quality is as strong as the footage given. But, the 1080p transfer does well. The same goes for the slightly lossy audio track. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase.
