ZYDECO CROSSROADS: A TALE OF TWO CITIES REVIEWED

“Zydeco Crossroads” was the culmination of a sixteen month project with Philadelphia Public Radio. What we got was an 87 main documentary and a 55 minute documentary follow-up. Over the last month, I’ve not watch three documentaries about Creole culture and music. Not much has changed while covering the material, but I have found myself enjoying the music far more. What WXPN has done with Robert Mugge to capture Zydeco on film should be applauded. Other documentarians should enjoy such luxury.
