ZOO: SEASON 2 REVIEWED
“Zoo” enters into a second season of the cult hit series. Honestly, I like the ideas being tossed around. It’s just that the overall execution feels a bit underwhelming. The idea of super beasts and mankind’s dominance of the planet ending is fun. However, the show never fully develops these ideas. I guess they have to work in soap opera plots somehow.
I haven’t read the James Patterson source novel, but I assume that it’s a finite story that doesn’t feel so stretched out. While I love world building, I have a hard time seeing this story going past a third season. CBS is trying something different and I embrace it. I just wish there was far more forward momentum.
