Zombi Child is a fascinating look at Zombie mythos. Leaning hard on the French origins of the monsters, we draw parallels between 1962 Haiti and modern Paris. Sure, it was an excuse to throw in school girls, but it is what it is. I liked the idea of the movie more than the execution. Sometimes, that’s all I got.
The DVD comes with a bonus short film which is typical for Film Movement releases. Plus, you get an audio commentary from the director. The A/V Quality is good enough, but never quite cool. I’d recommend a purchase to the curious. That’s all I’ve got.
