WITH GREAT POWER….THE STAN LEE STORY REVIEWED
“With Great Power…The Stan Lee Story” is a solid documentary about the rise of the wordier half of the classic Lee/Kirby team. Stan and his wife Joan get equal time to discuss their life, relationship and Stan Lee’s role in making comics awesome. Marvel has been very kind with granting permission to use so much classic comic book and animation material to show off. However, why wouldn’t they? This documentary virtually promotes everything they have done over the last 50 years.
The DVD comes with a ton of special features. So, that helps pad it out. The A/V Quality is pretty solid for a standard definition documentary. However, I wouldn’t tell you to expect it to light your ass on fire. It’s talking heads played up as talking heads. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to Marvel fans.
