“Undiscovered Haiti” lets us follow Jose Andres as he tours Haiti to discover its culture and cuisine. While it’s only an hour, Andres gives Americans a chance to understand Haiti outside of the Wyclef Jean shaped scope that we understand. Whether it’s looking for rare mushrooms or hunting for treasure, Andres takes his time to show off this unseen world. It’s just that the history behind the country’s formation tends to get rushed. While that’s not the worst thing, it deserves to be mentioned. The DVD comes with no special features.
