THE PLOT THUS FAR
“Tosh.0” delves into all aspects of the Internet, featuring razor sharp humor and biting commentary from comedian Daniel Tosh. From the absolutely absurd to the incredibly ingenious, the series features viral clips, sketches, and “Web Redemptions” which give subjects of infamous viral videos a second chance to redeem themselves from the embarrassment with which they’ve become synonymous. It’s cable TV’s most trusted source for exhibitionist weirdos, injurious idiots and all things Web. And now it’s on Blu-Ray.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
“Tosh.0″ really hits its stride in the third season which “Collas plus Exposed Arms” covers. You get Antoine Dodson, the screaming Election guy and the Foul Ball couple. All are classic moments and they all go to show that Tosh is at his best when he’s calling out the dumb. I have had a few readers and friends give me grief for loving the show as much as I do. Well, I’ve got this to say. This is my equivalent of the stupid cat videos and Frozen sing-alongs that you love so damn much. Except my video tastes end with people getting maimed and mutilated.
Daniel Tosh gets bashed by his fair share of feminist and other political ideologist bloggers. But, those people mistake having a thinly defined creed as being a substitute for a personality. What Tosh does is the same thing as his pal Todd Glass. Find the humor in the worst of people and find a way to make it bounce back at them. It’s a fool that thinks we live in an idealized world where nothing bad ever happens. Now, I’ve got to go watch a chick jump off a roof and miss a pool.
The Blu-Ray comes with extended redemption interviews and the uncut Tiptoes spoiler as the special features. The Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track really pops for a program like this. The 1080p transfer continues to show that this show is shot at a really high caliber. I mean, the detail for an internet clip show is insane. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to fans.
