“The Thingy” is a Pro-Life movie for those of us that would be cool if the Earth shed a few pounds. After a child is born dead, the afterbirth suddenly comes to life. Now, this miracle of Godly intervention gets to live the life of a true Christian. He is educated, finds a family and even becomes a soldier. All the while, The Thingy fights bodybuilders, junkies and the whores that populate his world. For a movie that was released years prior as a non-Troma film, I’m glad it found its true American home. While I could sit here and compare the movie to early Henenlotter, that’s just stroking my film academic ego. Check out the trailer below and decide for yourself.SPECIAL FEATURES
