The Dead Hour: A New Anthology Series Premiering Worldwide on Digital Platforms in May 2023

Terror Films, a horror film distributor, is expanding into the television business with their new 12-episode horror anthology series called The Dead Hour. The series is set to premiere globally on May 12th on various digital platforms such as Amazon and Tubi.

Inspired by the classic series The Twilight Zone, creators Daniel B. Iske and Scott Coleman have crafted a chilling series featuring a different creepy tale in each episode, introduced by a twisted radio announcer played by Melissa Holder.

Iske and Coleman shared that their setup was a radio DJ in a dark booth late at night telling her audience creepy tales. Each episode starts with the radio announcer’s setup monologue, then dives into the story as it plays out on the screen. After coming up with hundreds of short story ideas for over a year, they narrowed it down to the dozen or so stories they wanted to produce.

The Dead Hour features a different cast for each episode, providing a unique opportunity for the duo to work with a vast array of talent. According to Iske and Coleman, the series’ stories are rooted in commentary on today’s world and culture, exploring both external and internal monsters.

Iske and Coleman wrote and directed the low-budget horror film Fields of the Dead, which had a successful run on Redbox and OnDemand. Now, they are excited to expand their horizons with this new series in the episodic realm.
