Tango Highlights Ukrainian Creators Rebuilding Their Lives Through Live Streaming
Tango is putting the spotlight on three Ukrainian creators whose stories illustrate how live streaming has become more than entertainment, serving as a source of income, stability and community during one of the most difficult periods in their lives.
The live social entertainment platform recently shared the experiences of Liia, Lexi and Anastasiia Kulik, three women who turned to Tango after the war in Ukraine disrupted their careers, homes and futures.
From Mariupol to Mentoring Hundreds of Creators
Liia, a 25-year-old survivor of the siege of Mariupol, joined Tango after fleeing Ukraine, relocating abroad as a refugee and becoming a new mother.
Since beginning her streaming career in 2022, Liia has earned approximately $267,000 in cumulative Tango-verified income while growing beyond content creation into mentorship.
Today, she leads a creator agency with approximately 285 streamers, helping other creators develop careers of their own as they rebuild their lives.
A New Career for a Single Mother
For Lexi, a 33-year-old from Kropyvnytskyi, Tango offered an opportunity to earn an income while raising her son.
What began as evening live streams eventually developed into a full-time business.
According to Tango, Lexi has earned approximately $68,000 in cumulative verified income over roughly three years and now averages between $2,500 and $3,000 per month.
Beyond the financial impact, she says the experience helped restore her independence.
“I found myself on Tango,” Lexi said.
Turning a Side Hustle Into a Business
Anastasiia Kulik followed a different path.
After spending a decade working as a civil servant earning a minimum salary, she transformed a small streaming project into Inspire, a Tango creator agency representing roughly 600 creators.
Following the outbreak of war and time spent sheltering with family, Kulik expanded the agency while encouraging other women to view live streaming as a legitimate career.
“Streams aren’t only about money – they’re about inspiration, motivation, support, and a team,” she said.
Building Opportunity Through Community
Although each creator arrived on Tango under different circumstances, the platform says their experiences share a common thread.
“These stories show what can happen when access, technology and human connection meet at the right moment,” a Tango representative said.
