“The Story of 90 Coins” follows a man taking 90 days to convince his girlfriend to marry him. What sounds like the setup to a terrible Kate Hudson movie gives way to something pretty sweet for a short film. In the language of promises and unexpressed emotion, the film’s director finds something magically cerebral. No matter what your best intentions might be, you’re going to fail someone. It’s what you do with that failure and how you build a path forward that matters. Solid work all-around and well worth checking out.
