THE PLOT THUS FAR

For the first time in franchise history, the Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions! Now the original network broadcasts of the Seahawks 2013 playoff run are yours to own in this exciting three-DVD set Seattle Seahawks: Road to XLVIII.

All the great moments from the Seahawks unforgettable playoff journey are here the tense victory over the Saints, the thrilling last-second finish vs. the 49ers, and the complete dismantling of the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Over these three games, the Seahawks went from contenders to Super Bowl champions and their ability, style, swagger, and unshakable home-field advantage were on display for an entire nation to behold. Seattle Seahawks: Road to XLVIII is a must-have for any fan who proudly wears the number 12 for their beloved Seahawks.

WHAT WE THOUGHT

“Road to XLVII” is typical for most of the NFL postseason compilations. While I can get behind the Seahawks stomping out a Manning led team, their run to the end game seems so easy in hindsight. Watching that awful last play by the Saints to the 49ers choking at the end, it just felt teams were giving them the win. Then, there was the retro ass pounding that the Broncos took. Man, when Denver blows it…they blow it like a college student rolling through Denver’s edibles district during Fourth Meal.

Still, it’s three discs loaded with carefully edited presentations of every Seahawks Post Season game from the last year. If you’ve been keeping track of these releases over the last five seasons, the presentation is the same. If you’re new to the releases, then it’s what you expect. That is unless you like having commercials and forced FOX Sports commentary. Meh, take it for what you will.

The DVD comes with no special features. The A/V Quality is typical for standard definition. The transfer is flat with little punch-up when compared to the HD broadcasts. But, the Dolby 5.1 track kicks up where needed. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to fans.
