POWER RANGERS SUPER MEGAFORCE: THE COMPLETE SEASON REVIEWED
Power Rangers Super Megaforce gets the complete season treatment. The new gang gets together and they fight alongside the Jungle Fury Red Rangers and the Samurai Rangers. Then, a new Silver Ranger shows up to join the fight. There’s a lot of mythology that gets reset more times than the Transformers. Still, I can see this show entertaining the hell out of its target audience. That being said, I age dramatically every time I watch it. It makes me feel like Dorian Gray watching his portrait get its ass kicked.
They have a Lion Zord and they team up to protect the Earth. That’s it, people. It’s weird to try and wax poetic about a show that never dies while recycling the same crap. It’s a never-ending fun bag of junk, but kids keep eating up. That being said, I hear more kids talking about Minecraft than Power Rangers anymore.
The Power Rangers have been through so many iterations. One might say that it’s a shame that the idea wasn’t put out to pasture and then allowed to come back at its own pace. See current success with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as an example. But, I guess that’s not the way that corporate synergy works. Strike while the iron is hot and force as much content down their throats. Does that sound good? Do you even care? Your kids just want to watch people in suits fight others. Plus, there are monsters sometimes.
