[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]”Party of Five” is remembered as this great unseen 90s drama. But, that’s the trick with memory. Growing up as part of the show’s target audience, I remember a time when everyone watched this. Hell, I can’t hear the Bodeans anymore without thinking about this show. Other than that, it’s a heavy mix of memorable faces and forgettable plots. Everyone has an issue depending on the season and Matthew Fox exists as the plot’s punching bag.
While the first two seasons are pretty solid, the series suffers from serious Dawson’s Creek level collapse. The last half of the series is kinda painful and only fan devotion kept it on the air as long as it did. Also, the little kid grows up like a decade between seasons. What’s up with that?
The DVD comes with no special features. The A/V Quality is pretty good for standard definition. That being said, I’d love to see an HD remaster of the series. Was it shot on film? Does anyone care? Ultimately, it’s worth a purchase to fans.
