NO TIME TO DIE – Listen to Billie Eilish’s theme song for the new Bond movie

Today, five-time GRAMMY® Award winning Darkroom/Interscope Records artist Billie Eilish has released her latest song, No Time To Die, the official theme song to the upcoming James Bond film. The song was produced by her brother; fellow multi GRAMMY® Award winning FINNEAS alongside Stephen Lipson, with orchestral arrangements by Hans Zimmer and Matt Dunkley, and guitar from Johnny Marr. No Time To Die comes ahead of the film’s global release, which hits theatres from April 2 in the U.K. through Universal Pictures International and in the U.S on April 10 through MGM via their United Artists Releasing banner.

18-year-old Eilish is officially the youngest artist in history to both write and record a James Bond theme song, and will be performing it live for the first time, accompanied by FINNEAS, plus special guests Hans Zimmer and Johnny Marr at The Brit Awards in London on February 18.

“There are a chosen few who record a Bond theme. I am a huge fan of Billie and FINNEAS. Their creative integrity and talent are second to none and I cannot wait for audiences to hear what they’ve brought – a fresh new perspective whose vocals will echo for generations to come,” said director Cary Joji Fukunaga.

Eilish said, “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock”.

FINNEAS adds, “writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of Goldfinger and Live and Let Die. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.”

GKIDS Announces English-Language Voice Cast for TOKYO GODFATHERS by Satoshi Kon

GKIDS, the acclaimed producer and distributor of animation for adult and family audiences, has announced the English voice cast for the critically-acclaimed animated feature TOKYO GODFATHERS, by director Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue, Paprika). GKIDS previously re-released a remastered version of Satoshi Kon’s groundbreaking psychological thriller Perfect Blue in 2018. At the 47th Annie Awards, Kon posthumously received ASIFA-Hollywood’s Winsor McCay Award, the organization’s award for lifetime achievement in animation. GKIDS and Fathom Events will present the new restoration of Tokyo Godfathers in select movie theaters nationwide on Monday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. (local time, English-language subtitled) and Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. (local time, English-language dubbed).

The English language dubbed version of Tokyo Godfathers will feature the voices of Jon Avner (Just Cause 3), Victoria Grace (Mirai), and Shakina Nayfack (“Transparent,” “Difficult People”), and was produced by GKIDS and NYAV Post.

“Hana is a transwoman with a heart of gold,” said Shakina Nayfack, “I connected instantly to her faith, and her worldview is so clearly rooted in Satoshi Kon’s love for humanity. Kon was ahead of his time when he introduced Hana to the anime canon, and I’m so glad this GKIDS restoration and new English dub will give more people the chance to meet and fall in love with his beloved yet undersung heroine!”

“Satoshi Kon was a master visual storyteller, whose body of work continues to inspire ten years after his untimely passing,” said David Jesteadt, GKIDS’ President. “We are grateful to play a small part in preserving his legacy with the re-release of a newly remastered Tokyo Godfathers, and look forward to bringing the film to new and returning audiences alike.”

M.O.M. (MOTHERS OF MONSTERS) Unveils True to Life Nightmare March 13th

Indie Rights has announced the theatrical world premiere and Digital HD rollout of Tucia Lyman’s hard-hitting M.O.M. (Mothers of Monsters). Melinda Page Hamilton (Netflix’s “Messiah”, “How to Get Away with Murder”) headlines as a troubled single mother who fears that her teenage son, played by Bailey Edwards in a star-making debut, is a duplicitous psychopath. Desperate to know if her son is capable of murder, she begins recording him at home on a network of spy cameras.

M.O.M. poster movie news

Of the film’s genesis and release, Lyman said, “I’ve always been intrigued by real-life horror films that use the dysfunctions of society as a vessel to explore the truth. M.O.M. is a work of narrative fiction, but much of the behavior, scenarios, and dialogue were borrowed from the journals and publications of real-life school shooters and their parents. It is a very confronting film, much like the subject matter itself, and I hope it will contribute to the national debate surrounding mental health stigma and gun violence in America.”

M.O.M. (Mothers of Monsters) will open in Los Angeles for a weeklong run at the Arena Cinelounge on Friday the 13th of March, before the film premieres on Cable and Digital VOD.
