MOKA REVIEWED

“Moka” wants you to buy into the idea of an unrealiable narrator so bad that it sacrifices its point. Basically, are you willing to buy a crazy person’s pursuit for vengeance? Forget the third act and focus on how the film was established. You have to buy that an emotionally unwell woman knows criminal truths, while she can’t trust herself. The last cinematic mother to go this crazy ended up getting beheaded at a New Jersey campground in 1979. While you ponder that last reference, I stand by the chronology. Release dates aren’t everything.
