MIRACULOUS: TALES OF LADYBUG & CAT NOIR REVIEWED
“Miraculous” returns with Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. This is the second compilation of Miraculous that I’ve watched and I’m enjoying it with my daughter. For a collection that runs at a quick two hour pace, it works for kids that are starting to age out of the PBS shows. The high grade excitement with the female led heroics provides for an excellent counterpoint to the typical Nick cartoons of young dudes screaming over each other. But, there’s still typical girl fluff to keep the middlin’ folk entertained.
The girls get powers from jewelry and they fight crime with their magical pets. Honestly, I don’t get why the show isn’t bigger in America. Hopefully, we’ll eventually get a complete Season 1 release. I feel that others will start enjoying the series once they can see it in the long form. Still, it’s stunning work from Shout and it belongs in your kid’s collection.
