They are rustic folk who are missing a few relatives because “The Golden Girls” became a hit on NBC. However, the show is a testament to the success of airing on syndication only. While I grew up with the Bubba episodes, these later seasons like the punch of Seasons 1-4.

The fifth season had many major moments, but they paled in comparison to what came before. Most of the jokes felt recycled and Iola is too passive to be a partner for Thelma. Vicki Lawrence never dropped it down a notch, but it felt like the supporting cast couldn’t keep up. Small issues for some, but it hurt the show’s legacy for me.

The DVD comes with no special features. But, the A/V Quality is comparable to the past season highlights DVDs. If you bought the complete set, you’ve already got this material. Plus, you got special features. In the end, it’s worth a purchase to fans.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Release Date: 04/28/15[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
