“Magical Universe” was my first look at the world of Al Carbee. Carbee has turned modern dolls into artwork inside of his giant Maine home. Watching as this masculine artist dominates a female oriented world is fascinating. But, it’s not that much different than most art documentaries. The kicker is that this one runs a scant 77 minutes. The DVD comes with featurettes, teasers and a trailer as the special features.
