The Death Star is gone, as Luke now has to rely on Yoda and friends to escape the Emperor and Vader. Fun jokes and sight gags are to be had for those that enjoy the Lego Star Wars sensibility. However, extreme fans might be put off by the humor. They shouldn’t, as a former Simpsons writer seems to be showrunning the program.

Lego Star Wars plays with concepts in a way that kids can have fun while adults will like the What-If aspects of the non canon. All the familiar worlds gets a visit and you get to see some nerd aspects get careful attention. When was the last time you heard any movies bring up Kaiburr Crystals? Did you say never? That’s right, kids.

The DVD comes with an alternate ending for the final episode on the set. For a special feature, it’s fun but it’s short. The A/V Quality is on par with past releases. Still, I found the transfer to be shaky even for standard definition. In the end, it’s worth a purchase for parents of young kids.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
