LAZER TEAM REVIEWED

“Lazer Team” opens on an alien incident from 1977. After that, we’re in the present where Earth has trained a champion for decades to use the alien armor recovered from the encounter. But, four idiots have stolen a piece of the armor and they’re using it to cause mischief. Laughs are had for about 5 minutes and then the movie keeps continuing. The idiots try to give the armor back, but the pieces have genetically bonded to them. Naturally, trouble ensues.

Considering that this is one of the first YouTube Red movies, it looks pretty amazing. So much of what is presented feels like it could’ve played better as a short. But, these guys have nowhere to go but up. Hopefully, they can get a second stab at a feature. I’m not going to say I’m a fan, but the pieces for a better film are there. Fans of Rooster Teeth will still want to give it a shot.
