LAID IN AMERICA REVIEWED
“Laid in America” follows two foreign exchange students on their last night in America. These guys want to get laid, but they just got kidnapped. Given that these two guys are YouTube stars, I’ve never heard of them. Honestly, if you’re not on a Fine Brothers video or bitching about B-grade cinema, I don’t really watch you. Sorry, that’s just the way my media consumption works.
The film plays like “After Hours” for high school kids that have never seen a VHS player. But, wasn’t that just a subgenre of teen films for ages? Dump them into weird surroundings and let them discover the urban weirdos? How is that any different from “Adventures in Babysitting”, “License to Drive” or “A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon”? That last one was a deep cut for the River Phoenix fans. What I’m saying is that nothing happens in this film.
How many times do I need to see a couple of goofy young men bouncing around a strange environment? People are weird, people want sex and some people want to form connections with our titular heroes. Everyone has a good chuckle and then the film ends. If you don’t need more than that, this is the film for you. Otherwise, wait for the flurry of people to cover it on YouTube.

The Plot Thus Far
Duncan (KSI) and Jack (Caspar Lee) are exchange students with just one night left in the United States and one final chance to lose their virginity with the girls of their dreams.
To accomplish their goal, they must get into the school-bully’s house party that night but they haven’t made the list. The two friends hatch an elaborate and desperate plan which takes them on an unexpected adventure, navigating a mine-field of problems from gun-wielding gangsters to deviant drug lords. Their friendship is tested as they blunder through the night in a bid to fulfill their fantasies before their flights back home.
