KUU KUU HARAJUKU: MUSIC, BABY! REVIEWED
“Kuu Kuu Harajuku: Music, Baby!” is made for somebody. My daughter couldn’t hang with it and I kept watching it just out of obligation. But, what happened from Gwen Stefani’s LAMB album to this cartoon? Hell, how many cartoons can definitely chase their origins back to a specific album? Well, let’s get on with the show. A bobble-headed young blonde leads four Japanese girls around the world in the name of Kawaii. But, the one on the end seems African-American. To that I say, just don’t think about it.
The show deals with a Dirk Dastardly time trying to ruin their good time. One of the girls eats a lot and monster pets seem to play a big part of one episode. This material went on for 2 1/2 hours. I love the length of the material to keep kids entertained. However, I don’t know who this show was made to entertain. How many little girls know of Gwen Stefani outside of The Voice? Hell, how many little girls actually watch The Voice? This series is an oddity, but I’d recommend checking it out due to morbid curiosity.
