KILL ‘EM ALL

KILL ‘EM ALL REVIEWED

“Kill ’em All” feels like a DTV FOX film I watched and reviewed in the last year. I want to say it was a WWE production, but I’ll leave it at that. In terms of the JCVD scale, it’s pretty middle of the road. Autumn Reeser gets a ton to do in regards to being a non JCVD in a Van Damme flick. However, Peter Stormare and Maria Conchita Alonso exist in the film for no discernible purpose. Stormare seems rather comfortable in the Peter Lorre phase of his career, so kudos to him.

It’s just that everyone seems to be floating through the movie, while JCVD plays a serious killer trying to get his memory back. There are a ton of twists in this movie, but none of them feel like they matter. What is cool is that the Spanish fighter from “The Quest” is the guy directing this movie. It’s a neat bit of trivia to ponder, but it ultimately showcases how a first-time director couldn’t quite get the narrative down. Oh well, it’s your first try at bat. Far more people have done worse JCVD movies. Pick it up.
