What did assimilation mean for Jewish immigrants?
“The Jewish Journey: America” shows what it took for Jewish immigrants to come to America. Family history was redefined as cultures adapted and tried to make sense of this new world. Moving from first to fourth generation, we get a rich tapestry of lives that will only make that Master of None episode sting more. Man, I really should not have watched both of these programs back to back. While only an hour long, this has been the one documentary this month to really stick with me. The DVD comes with over 20 minutes of bonus interviews as the special features.
