James Cameron has partnered with celebrity charity-fundraising digital platform Prizeo.com to raise awareness and funds for One Drop, an organization which strives to ensure that safe water and proper sanitation is accessible to all. Fans can participate by clicking HERE and donating as little as five dollars. Those who contribute will be automatically entered to win the ultimate fan experience: one grand prize winner and a guest will be flown roundtrip to Montreal and given VIP tickets to see the December 21st premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s upcoming show, TORUK – The First Flight, inspired by the world of Avatar. The winner will be treated to lunch with Academy Award-winning director James Cameron to learn more about the inspiration behind Pandora. Winners will also receive hotel accommodations and a tour of the Cirque du Soleil International Headquarters.
Those who donate at specific price points are also eligible for exclusive rewards, including an exclusive campaign t-shirt and signed items. A full list of campaign rewards is available HERE.
The grand-prize winner will be chosen at random and notified via email shortly after the campaign closes on December 4th. For full contest rules, see http://www.prizeo.com/terms-and-conditions. For more information about TORUK – The First Flight visit https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/toruk.
Celebrity digital fundraising platform Prizeo was founded in early 2013 and is dedicated to the principle that influential personalities can maximize both the funds and awareness they raise for charity on an inclusive platform that gives all their fans the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience while contributing to society in a meaningful way.
Prizeo campaigns featuring celebrities including One Direction, Mark Ruffalo, Will Ferrell, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Samuel L. Jackson, George R.R. Martin, Ed Sheeran, Mariah Carey, Zac Efron and Kobe Bryant have shown the immense power of social media to raise funds and awareness for charitable causes. A 2013 campaign featuring One Direction’s Harry Styles and Liam Payne raised nearly $800,000 for cancer research and prevention programs.
