Shout! Factory is releasing THE JACKIE CHAN COLLECTION VOLUME 2 (1983-1993), an 8-Disc set of eight classic films that feature Jackie Chan’s unique blend of martial arts, action, and comedy. The Armour of God films feature a 2K restoration from the original film elements and new audio commentary from James Mudge, a veteran Hong Kong film critic at easternKicks. The second film also includes a discussion on crafting a new soundtrack for the American debut of Jackie Chan’s sequel.

The Protector includes an alternate “Hong Kong Cut” of the film by Jackie Chan and new audio commentary from author and critic Kim Newman, moderated by filmmaker Sean Hogan. It also features an interview with director James Glickenhaus and “Locations – Then and Now” which takes viewers on a journey through the film’s shooting locations.

Crime Story features a new audio commentary with James Mudge and “Criminally Creative: The Story of a stylistic U-Turn” by Andrew Heskins, a film critic for easternKicks. Additionally, the film includes archival interviews with Bruce Law, writer Teddy Chan, and director Kirk Wong, as well as deleted scenes.

City Hunter features a new audio commentary with David West, critic and author of Chasing Dragons: The Introduction to the Martial Arts Film, and “Slapstick in the City: Jackie Chan enters the Nineties” by Andrew Heskins.
