Infinity Festival (IF), the festival that brings Hollywood and Silicon Valley together, announced today a holiday show that will showcase highlights of the festival and discussions around content, technology and post-production. Sponsored by Unity (NYSE: U), the stream will be simulcast on VOD and the IF virtual event platform developed by the live event pros at FNTECH on December 23. Watch the trailer.
This year’s festival—launched on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 and is continuing through January 7, 2021—features scores of premium content, industry-leading speakers, panel discussions and a fine art exhibition, each with an emerging-tech focus.
Taking place exclusively online each Wednesday and Thursday, the festival includes innovative programming hosted by Infinity Festival chairman Hanno Basse, Chief Technology Officer, Microsoft Azure Media and Entertainment and Infinity Festival chief curator, Academy Board of Governors member and StoryTech CEO, Lori H. Schwartz as they speak with creators, directors, producers and writers, as well as senior executives and technologists from Hollywood and Silicon Valley.
Infinity Festival has also partnered with iconic recording label Capitol Music Group to feature “Capitol Royale,” which has brought a unique slate of music related programming to this year’s festival including weekly music content premieres, new announcements and thought leadership conversations. The Holiday show programming includes a conversation with 7-time GRAMMY-nominated British dance duo, Disclosure, ‘New Slang’ artist spotlight episodes featuring emerging rap sensation, Toosi and edgy Australian DJ/Producer, Kito.
Plus, an inside look of Hollywood’s iconic Capitol Studios and conversation with Pearl Jam producer Josh Evans and Capitol Studios engineer Nick Rives on recording the rock band’s new album, Gigaton, in Dolby Atmos. Festival attendees can also hear a conversation between writer, director, Golden Globe and Emmy nominee, Emerald Fennell and composer Anthony Willis as they breakdown the thrilling soundtrack for Fennell’s new breakout film with Focus Features, “Promising Young Woman.”
