Freestyle Digital Media releases Bound — the gritty debut feature from Broadway actor-turned-filmmaker Isaac Hirotsu Woofter — in select theaters and on VOD across North America on Friday, May 16.
Premiering at Dances With Films and racking up 11 awards and 34 nominations on the indie festival circuit, Bound arrives with word-of-mouth momentum and one very unexpected cast member: the first-ever live-action flying squirrel in a feature film.
What is Bound?
A raw, emotionally bruising mix of found family, trauma, and redemption, Bound is a crime drama inspired by true events. Woofter draws from personal experience, creating what he calls “a gut-punch underdog story” with indie grit and emotional charge.
