While I dig Merchant’s writing and his outside work, this show didn’t work because it was just harsh. There was little funny about an awful person trying to exist among the awfulness of Los Angeles. Kevin Weisman was a strong supporting player, but too much of his setup seemed to be the wheelchair guy pulling down easy tail. It’s a rare comedic strikeout for HBO and Merchant. The DVD comes with a featurette and deleted scenes as the special features. The A/V Quality is typical for standard definition.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Release Date: 05/26/15[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
