Freestyle Digital Media Lands Screwball Comedy AFTERNOONER – Available on Digital and DVD April 1

Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group, announces it has secured North American VOD and DVD rights to the screwball comedy feature AFTERNOONER, debuting on digital HD internet, cable, satellite platforms, and DVD on April 1, 2025.
About AFTERNOONER
Written and directed by The Harrow Brothers, AFTERNOONER is an absurd, comedic romp featuring an eccentric ensemble cast including Alex Molina (Howie), Bryce Harrow (Douglas), Kate Marley (Gretel), Michael Boucher (Handy Herman), Monette Moio (Barbados), Frank Bond (Howard Sr.), and Rob Harrow (Drunk Driver Danny).
So, what is this movie about?
AFTERNOONER follows the comedic misadventures of Howie (Molina), the down-on-his-luck owner of Beverly Bikes, a struggling beachfront bicycle rental shop. His constant battles with a dimwitted staff and aggressive customer interactions reflect the deep-seated insecurities he tries hard to hide.
When a slick new rival, Transcendental Rentals, announces its grand opening for the next day, Howie scrambles to hold onto his dwindling customer base. In desperation, he devises an elaborate scheme involving a coveted smoke machine—but there’s just one problem: he’s broke.

Adding insult to injury, his cheating girlfriend, Barbados, abruptly ends their relationship, and his disapproving father cuts him off. As Howie’s day unfolds, he confronts bumbling thieves, flatulent corpses, a possible new romance, and one last opportunity to change his luck. The only question: Will Howie pull it off?
AFTERNOONER was produced by The Harrow Brothers, John Fitzpatrick, and Chris Raab.
Freestyle Digital Media negotiated the acquisition of AFTERNOONER directly with the filmmakers and Alex Nohe of Blood Sweat Honey.
