“Finding Samuel Lowe: From Harlem to China” takes an Afro-Chinese-Jamaican family on a quest to seek their Chinese grandfather. The American family decides to trace their grandfather’s life and return to China. It’s the fun kind of genealogy documentary that used to be big a few years ago. What I dig is seeing such focus placed on hybrid families. It’s cute and flies by pretty quickly.
