Event Horizon (1997) [4K UHD Review]

Video - 9.3
Audio - 9.6
Movie - 8.7
Special Features - 9.1

Event Horizon understood what Fulci tried to teach horror fans for years. Gouge the eyes and make audiences squirm.

What did Paramount put on the 4K UHD Steelbook?

The 4K UHD Steelbook for Event Horizon comes with a commentary, featurettes, trailers and a ton of special features. Most of the material is ported over from past releases. However, the real winner in this set is that stunning 2160p transfer.

It plays dark, but is true to the source material. The Dolby 5.1 TrueHD track continues that thing I love where studios don’t try to artificially blow up the audio channels past where they were in 1997. DTS was still new back then, so having close to period sound is great if you’re that much of a stickler.
